Revenue Analyst

A fast-growing Scandinavian hospitality company is accelerating its revenue management practice to maximise its full potential. An area that will be fundamental to drive profitability both in short and long term and to further drive the extensive growth the company has enjoyed so far. The company is owned by a Private Equity fund and it has a very exciting expansion agenda for the coming years. Both through organic growth and M&A.

The role                                                                                                                                   

To raise the bar for the whole industry, the company is now looking to bring in an external Revenue Analyst. Up until now this area has been managed in a traditional way, while the company sees a large potential in challenging existing “truths”. The key areas to start with will be to set up a structure to introduce and manage dynamic pricing to a larger extent and do solid analysis and draw conclusions on all sales activities the company has done. This includes setting new pricing models, optimise pricing on a daily basis in both business and leisure markets, and on all available online and offline channels. This while also exploring new revenue streams such as ancillaries and new types of price packages. It is also essential to be able to navigate in the core reservation system to make sure the company is using its full potential. Including all from the hands-on task to load all prices in the system, to challenge the system provider to continuously develop their product. The Revenue Analyst will be a key player in setting the strategic agenda on how to develop the company’s income drivers in the coming years.

The Revenue Analyst will report to the company Chief Commercial Officer, be based in Stockholm and be part of an entrepreneurial team covering all aspects of sales and marketing from the central office.

Profile
The profile we are looking for is that of an entrepreneur with strong analytical skills. We need, therefore, to find someone with a lot of drive and energy but also the skill to digest large amount of data, navigate through it and managing to extract the most insightful conclusions. Curiosity and agility will be key, to take new ideas to market, test and learn and build on these learnings. Informal leadership to drive change across the wider business will be essential for success, as will a humble personality combined with strong communications skills.

Therefore, to thrive you need to have strong self-awareness, integrity, comfort in your own capacity, flexibility and security in making your own decisions. We believe you have:

  • Background from consulting or business development/analytical roles with strong analytical track record
  • Genuine interest in the hospitality or transport (rail / airline) industries
  • Experience from driving change and challenge existing status quo
  • Approximately 2-5 years of working experience
