Nordic Brand Marketing Manager – Henkel Adhesive

Henkel Consumer & Craftsmen Adhesives holds leading market positions and offers high-quality branded solutions to a wide target group ranging from consumers to professionals. Well-known brands are Loctite, Pritt, Pattex & Plastic Padding.



An opportunity has arisen within the marketing department as Nordic Brand Marketing Manager.

In your role you’ll be managing the perception and reality of the brands (mainly Loctite, Pritt, Pattex, Plastic Padding) product & category experiences. You will be building and re-enforcing all consumer touch points to positively impact equity of the brands. You will also develop, shape & implement a successful brand strategy for the Consumer and Craftsmen adhesives & sealants in Nordics with a clear brand vision strategy and plans.

Even though Henkel holds a leading position worldwide this isn’t yet the case for all brands in the Nordics, therefore you have all the tools and possibilities to grow the business by taking market shares through outperforming the competition.

Some of your main key objectives include

  • Brand concept development and positioning
  • Brand communication strategy and media plan
  • Development and planning of Nordic Communication strategy, (as part of Business Plan) for all brands and categories.
  • Plan, steer and administrate the agreed Nordic region- media, promotional and consumer research budget for brand & category
  • Ensure the current range of products is competitive in the market place. Suggest improvements to current and/or new product launches as appropriate.
  • Effective management of New Product Development (NPD) to agreed timings and costs.
  • Operating product launches/relaunches in close relationship with global marketing
  • Partly conducting product and packaging development aligned with brand positioning
  • Create & manage a compelling marketing toolbox & collaborate with Category Marketing Management & Sales team to drive successful execution.
  • Continuous business analysis with the objective of planning and implementing business improving activities. Also including market and brand analysis.
  • Consumer and shopper understanding – consumer research, analysis, segmentation etc.
  • Partly conducting product and packaging development aligned with brand positioning
  • Evaluate continually competitive trends in the market place

Qualifications, experience & qualities required:

  • University degree (Economics/Marketing).
  • 3- max 5 years of previous working experience. Mainly in brand marketing & preferably also trade marketing management and/or sales. Preferably from FMCG industry (Food/Non-Food)
  • Demonstrable success in previous brand marketing roles
  • Proficient IT skills and particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Google analytics etc
  • Fluent English. Finnish is a merit
