A fast growing Swedish tech company is launching a new business unit that will become an extension of the company’s core offering thus quickly becoming a global player in its niche. The idea could be described as a backward integration to further build on the large success the company has enjoyed so far.
Looking to rapidly expand the new business unit, the company is now looking to bring in an external Business Unit Head. Up until now the foundation for the new unit has been built by the company’s founder, which includes securing financing and drawing the overall business model. The next step, led by the Business Unit Head, will be to further dive into the commercial plan, by negotiating and finding partnerships with key suppliers, setting pricing models and offerings tailored to different markets. The Business Unit Head will set and drive the strategic agenda on how to develop the company in the coming years.
In parallel, the BU:s organization need to be built from the ground up. This means growing the BU with with more employees, both on the technical and business side, while setting roles and responsibilities. In short, this will be an exciting opportunity for the right person to build a company within the company, scale up and capture a huge business opportunity.
The Business Unit Head will report to the company CEO and will be based in Gothenburg.
The profile we are looking for is that of an intrapreneur, ready to build a business and grow it within a much larger setup. We need, therefore, to find someone with a lot of drive and energy but also the smarts to prioritize the right things. Tenacity and grit combined with strategic and visionary capabilities on how to develop the business. Leadership to build a team. Commercial understanding & negotiation skills.

We believe you have a background from:
- Management consulting and/or business development
- Experience from the telecom, energy or banking industries
- Experience from building or launching a developing business
- Entrepreneurial mindset
